How Our Base Rate Plus Dollars-Per-Kilometre Pricing Works
We price two ways: a flat weekly or monthly base rate plus dollars-per-kilometre for Road User Charges and maintenance, or time-and-mileage using the same per-kilometre matrix. Guide base rates, GST exclusive: an 8×4 curtainsider truck from NZD $1,968.75 per week with RUC at $0.42/km and maintenance at $0.26/km; a 9-axle truck and trailer set from NZD $2,487.53 per week with RUC at $0.65/km and maintenance at $0.36/km; and a 6×4 or 8×4 tractor unit from NZD $1,856.34 per week with RUC at $0.48/km and maintenance at $0.29/km. Rates vary by vehicle year and configuration.
Included in every rate: scheduled servicing, fair tyre wear, general maintenance, registration, and CoF. Excluded: GST, fuel and AdBlue, insurance, operator-caused damage, infringements, and cleaning if required. We set a monthly kilometre cap in your contract, and any kilometres above it are billed at NZD $0.50 per kilometre, GST exclusive, on your next invoice. You can purchase and display your own RUC, or we can purchase it and on-charge it — either way, we reconcile distance at start and finish using the odometer or hubodometer, referencing telematics where relevant.
