Transparent, GST-Exclusive Pricing
A 9-Axle Combination Built For Bigger Linehaul Runs
Our 9-axle sets pair a curtainsider truck with a matched pull trailer, giving you significantly more deck length and pallet capacity in one compliant combination. Pricing runs on a published guide base of $2,487.53 per week, plus $0.65 per kilometre for Road User Charges and $0.36 per kilometre for maintenance, all GST exclusive — or we can quote time-and-mileage using the same per-kilometre matrix if that suits your operation better.
We match the truck and trailer pairing to your route and gross combination mass, and arrange 50MAX or HPMV permits where the route requires them. As with the rest of our curtainsider range there's no tail-lift fitted — loading runs via full curtain access on both the truck and the trailer — though some Class 5 sets can be fitted with a mezzanine floor by prior arrangement.
Ready to consolidate your linehaul runs into one compliant combination? Enquire today for availability, GST-exclusive pricing, and 50MAX or HPMV permit handling for your route.

Everything You Need To Know
Plan Your 9-Axle Truck + Trailer Hire
Who Can Hire A 9-Axle Truck + Trailer Set?
We hire these sets to businesses and individuals who supply correctly licensed drivers. A Class 5 licence is required, with a Dangerous Goods endorsement when carrying DG. The hirer insures the vehicle for the full term, pays the bond and first week in advance, and complies with the Truck Loading Code and New Zealand heavy vehicle rules.
How Is Pricing Structured For This Combination?
We publish a guide base of $2,487.53 per week, plus dollars-per-kilometre for Road User Charges at $0.65/km and maintenance at $0.36/km, all GST exclusive. Contracts include a monthly kilometre cap, with excess kilometres charged at $0.50/km. We also offer time-and-mileage pricing using the same per-kilometre matrix if that suits your operation.
What Permits Do You Organise For This Set?
We match the truck and 5-axle pull trailer to your route and gross combination mass, then arrange 50MAX or HPMV permits as required for a $200 admin fee. We operate nationwide on permit-compliant routes, keep overall height within the standard 4.3m envelope, and confirm the allowable mass for your unit and route at booking.
What's Included In The Hire, And What Isn't?
Your hire includes scheduled servicing, fair tyre wear, general maintenance, registration, and CoF. Excluded are GST, fuel and AdBlue, insurance, operator-caused damage, infringements, and cleaning if required. Safety kit is included; load bars and straps are available by arrangement. We reconcile kilometres using the odometer, hubodometer, and telematics where relevant.
Are Tail-Lifts Or Mezzanine Floors Available?
None of our trucks have tail-lifts. Some Class 5 sets may have mezzanine floors by prior arrangement only, confirmed per unit before you book. Curtains aren't load restraint unless within their rated limits, so plan for suitable load bars, straps, and dunnage.
How Do RUC And Kilometres Work On This Set?
We can either purchase and on-charge RUC or you can display your own. Distance is reconciled at start and finish and may reference telematics. Contracts include a monthly kilometre cap, with over-cap kilometres billed at $0.50/km on the next invoice under the agreed rate schedule.
How Do Pick-Up And Returns Work?
Pick-ups happen during business hours with a joint inspection, photos, and licence checks. Returns are also during business hours, with after-hours yard returns available by arrangement. We supply the vehicle full of fuel and ask it's returned at the same level. Cleaning fees, if required, are $200 light or $550 heavy.
Can You Deliver Or Collect This Combination?
Yes. We can deliver or collect your 9-axle truck and trailer set for $50 per hour plus the vehicle's running costs, scheduled by arrangement. Our toll-free breakdown line supports you on the road, and if a truck is off the road more than 96 hours due to a breakdown, we'll provide a replacement subject to availability.
