Every SS Rentals hire runs on the same clear structure: a base weekly or monthly rate plus dollars-per-kilometre for Road User Charges and maintenance, all GST exclusive. We set a kilometre cap in your contract and reconcile distance using the odometer or hubodometer, referencing Fleetpin telematics, with any kilometres over the cap billed at $0.50 per kilometre on your next invoice.
Where a permit is required, we arrange 50MAX or HPMV cover for a $200 admin fee and match the unit, load, and route to your permitted gross combination mass, keeping loaded height within the legal 4.3-metre envelope. Pickup runs from our Tamahere, Waikato yard during business hours, with after-hours returns available by arrangement and nationwide delivery or collection available at $50 per hour plus running costs.

What are the rental terms?
Our minimum hire is 7 days. Long-term leases run from 1 month to 5 years, with lease-only or lease-to-buy options. We don't offer single-day hires.
Do I need a specific licence?
Yes — the licence class depends on the vehicle: Class 2, 4, or 5. A Dangerous Goods endorsement is required whenever the load includes dangerous goods.
How is pricing structured?
Pricing is GST exclusive: a base weekly or monthly rate plus dollars-per-kilometre for Road User Charges and maintenance. Any kilometres over your contracted cap are billed at $0.50 per kilometre.
